Research and Statistics

The latest EAL facts and figures

EAL research can help answer the questions that confront teachers of EAL and bilingual learners every day. It can also help change policies and practices. We aim to:

  • promote research that can inform practice and influence policies
  • foster research as a way of thinking amongst teachers
  • make research responsive to questions from teachers
  • use research to inform practice and to challenge assumptions
