EAL Nexus Seminar Series 2014

The British Council EAL Nexus project, in collaboration with The Bell Foundation and NALDIC, are holding a series of full day seminars this year, on ‘Improving achievement for EAL learners in your school’. The seminars are aimed at head teachers and senior leaders in primary and secondary schools. (see venues below)

Co-funded by the European fund for the integration of third country nationals and with sponsorship from The Bell Foundation, the British Council EAL Nexus project has the central aim of helping young migrant learners access learning and positively engage in schools, in the community and in society, thus promoting intercultural dialogue and social cohesion. The key aims in order to achieve this are:

1.develop a unique website with quality assured materials, free to access for everyone

2.build capacity in the sector

3.support parents and families of EAL learners

4.support and strengthen EAL networks across the UK

Each event will run from 9.30am until 4pm. This is a free event, and lunch and refreshments will be provided.
