NALDIC East Midlands Regional Group meeting

NALDIC East Midlands Regional Group will be holding its inaugural meeting on Saturday 8th February in the School of Education at the University of Leicester. The agenda will focus on Strategies for working with Beginners/Early Stage Learners/New Arrivals, with keynote speaker Gordon Ward giving an introduction to basic good practice in EAL work, called ‘Interaction learning and fun'. There will also be opportunity to hear how local Primary and Secondary schools provide support for Pupils New to English, as well as an introduction to NALDIC – National Association for Language Development in the Curriculum. All are welcome, with the target audience being Primary and Secondary School Practitioners, Senior Leaders, Inclusion Managers, EAL Coordinators, Class Teachers and Teaching Assistants.
