Racism against teachers

Nearly half of black and ethnic minority teachers believe they've been held back in their career because of racial discrimination. The teachers shared their experiences at a recent conference for black and ethnic minority school staff held by the NASUWT union – 350 people attended. In her keynote address, general secretary Chris Keates said government reforms were providing opportunities for prejudice and inequality to fester in schools.
