Tell us about your work with EAL learners

Help us to get an accurate picture of current EAL work in schools by sharing your experiences

We are currently collecting the experiences of teachers, instructors and teaching assistants with responsibility for EAL learners. This information will help us develop our training and support activities and help us focus our lobbying on your behalf.

We are keen to hear from colleagues across the country about their EAL teaching experiences. Please consider taking part in this important project by completing our questionnaire below. You can remain anonymous if you wish.

Tell us about your learner backgrounds, language backgrounds, socio-economic status, environment etc.
Tell us more about the age groups you work with and how you work with them - whether you support in class, in partnership or cooperative teaching, with small groups outside the mainstream classroom, with individuals, supporting language learning in specific subjects, supporting language learning across the curriculum, through specific programmes.
Tell us about your involvement in planning, resource selection/preparation, monitoring, assessment, training, dissemination, work with parents/community, whole school initiatives etc.
Tell us about your work with one of your learners
Tell us about what you feel would make the most difference to your work
