Time to apply for The Bell Foundation EAL Award
Time is running out for applications for The Bell Foundation Award. The award, launched in July, is worth up to £3000 to individuals or organisations to finance innovative work in improving language education for children learning EAL. The foundation is seeking applications which demonstrate innovative and practical work which changes lives and overcomes exclusion through language education and which has the potential, if developed and scaled, to have impact on more people. The closing date for applications is midnight on 28 October 2012
The Bell Foundation is part of, and governed by, the Bell Educational Trust. The Trust was founded in 1972 with the aim of providing language education, mainly in English, for adult students and young learners; to train teachers and to offer language learning and teacher training experiences that promote international understanding and intercultural exchange.
NALDIC recently partnered The Bell Foundation to provide two free short courses for EAL co-ordinators and teaching assistants over the summer of 2012.
